If you know what your goals are and have a plan to overcome barriers we can help you. You set up a realistic budget to help remove barriers to become stable in ...your housing. Although we are not an emergency assistance agency we want to help. We will be screening calls beginning June 1, 2020. Building still on lock down. Focus is on people who have been laid off, fallen behind and have a plan. Can show proof how what and when you want to do it. See more

As we go into the second month of this virus and our lives have been change because of it. l’m reminded that a lot of families are struggling to pay utilities, rent and make sure their children have food to eat and keep a roof over their heads. Now we’re coming into summer and gas is not big deal but keeping a roof is. In the past there were Funds to help. But now we find ourselves struggling to keep ours Services going and dealing lay-off too. The building where we are l...ocated is shutdown to the public too. We are still working from home even though not getting paid. Callers are being provided information and trying to use Internet as back up until we get back up. In the past families were able to get help with crises but many more are impacted and need to speak out. When will the money come and how much will it be and then what is the plan when it’s gone? I know you may say your voice don’t count but silence will not bring the answer. While At homevoice isn’t heard nothing will change. Your official need to hear from you. I’m with you and feel your pain as we struggle with your concerns See more

When you’re driving if you see a family walking early in the morning and their child don’t have a jacket or back pack and school has started. These are the hidden homeless and they don’t know the resources in our community. The shelters are full and they don’t have a car to sleep in. I challenge you Christians. What would Jesus do? Help in some way but please don’t ignore. They are the hidden homeless. Open your eyes affordable Housing. What’s that? Ask me and l will explain. Folks we got a problem in this city and we need to back our leaders to address it. Winter is here and a lot people are still struggling with light bills. You say that’s not your problem and they need to get a job and l say they got one but their rent takes it all and the rent takes all their money plus the landlord won’t fix anything.

I can’t believe I have been working for over 30 years at this agency for housing sustainability. I still feel everyone should have access to decent and affordable housing on a equal opportunity basis.
