Granby Memorial Cemetery

If you want to keep your Memorial Day decorations and havent already done so, please pick them up from the graves as soon as possible. The mowers will remove anything that hinders mowing and trimming.

We are truly thankful that the citizens of Granby once again chose to continue the tax that helps keep our cemetery beautiful.

It’s not every day that we have four fire trucks staged at our humble cemetery. Today the community of Granby said goodbye to Grover Akehurst, a man who contributed untold hours of service, both on our volunteer Fire Department and the Granby Miners Museum. He leaves a lasting legacy evidenced by these vehicles and the team of volunteers that use them to save lives. We are told that Grover was instrumental in Granby getting its first truly new fire truck which can be seen here; the yellow truck at the center of this formation. Thanks to all the volunteers and first responders that serve and protect the people of our community.
