Harmony - Advocacy, Education, Resources is hosting its second of four sessions with Sexologist Dr. Jill McDevitt this Saturday, October 24 at Noon Central. The theme will be "LGBTQIA2S+ Relationship 'Sexpectations.'" ABOUT HARMONY: Harmony is an international non-profit providing advocacy, education, and resources for Queer voices in Community of Christ with a shared vision of full participation.... SESSION DESCRIPTION: This workshop uses interactive activities and small group discussion to examine the concept of shoulding. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and challenge the ways that religious expectations, LGBTQIA2S+ cultural norms, and taboos of society at large come together to apply social pressure of how relationships should be. Strategies and best practices for managing and overcoming these hurdles will also be discussed.
