The Aim for Success After-School Tutoring Program has impacted the lives of hundreds of children. The academic enrichment program focuses on language arts and mathematics skills. Grace United Community Ministries provides transportation, meals, and One-On-One Tutoring support to children in the Kansas City Public Schools. Founded by Board Member Mr. Howard Spencer and Mrs. Judy Knorr. Our students are ages 5-13, and over 35 languages are represented. We are thankful to over 40 tutors who volunteer and support the program!

The Early Childhood Center/Preschool at Grace United Community Ministries began in the Fall of 2019! This year our preschool children ages 3-5 years old learned language arts, math, art, science, and life skills. Our global classroom was guided by our Early Childhood teacher was Ms. Glenda Handy. Although the COVID-19 Pandemic caused our program to end early we had many successes.

Volunteering at Grace United After-School Tutorial Program Volunteers come to our program once a week and tutor 3 children, one-on-one for 30 minutes with each student. Grace United After-School Tutorial program invites Kansas City School District scholars, K-6th, to attend our tutoring sessions held at 811 Benton Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64124. We begin tutoring mid-September through May 2020, Monday-Thursday 3:50pm - to 5:45pm! Come and join our learning ready environment!

Grace United Community Ministries is proud to partner this summer with Community Action Agency of Greater Kansas City for a Freedom School Experience for our children and youth. Thank you for assisting in the spread of education!
