The Third Person, The Workman Within, (A Doctrinal Study of the Holy Spirit) presented Sunday, April 11, 2021, by Pastor Brett L. Campbell Sr. , Senior Pastor Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Introduction:... The author Debbie Lee, writing about a scene from the book, The Lion, the Witch, and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, says that Aslan is a lion the Lion, the great Lion. Ooh said Susan. I thought he was a man. Is he safe? I feel nervous about meeting a lion. Safe? said Mr. Beaver. Who said anything about safe? Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good! Reasons to study the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit: 1. He connects us to God (John 14:16-18;26-28, 16:13-14) 2. His preeminence and power are displayed through the Church (Acts 5: 3, 13:1-4, 15:13-29, 20:28) 3. He manifests the sanctifying work of Jesus in and through our lives (1 Cor.1:30, 1 Thess.4: 3-4, 1 John 3:1-3) 4. He develops a compassion for a lost world in us (Acts 1:7-8, Matt.5:16, 1 Pet.3:15)

"THE PROPHETIC SIGNS OF THE TIMESMEAN SOMETHING", BIBLE STUDY PRESENTATION By Dr. LeRoy Randolph, 11-03-2020 Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Introduction... Whether we are dealing with prophetic passages of the Old Testament or the New Testament, God has given the prophets information to let us know plenty about the character & ministry of the Jewish Messiah. Many of the same passages also tell us about the signs of His coming, and let us know when the Messiah, Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha-Mashiach), would actually come to and for His people. Let me clear about this. Christ’s first coming is the singular most significant event in all of human history for everyone of us! And for the Jews under the yoke of other nations since 722 B.C. for the Northern Kingdom of Israel, and 606 B.C. for the Southern Kingdom of Judah, who were looking for the re-establishment of the Kingdom under their Messiah, it was their whole purpose and reason for their existence as a people.

A Pastor’s Farewell to The Church, Acts 20:17-38, Pastor Aaron E. Lavender Sunday, November 1, 2020 Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Introduction:... Ledora & I want to thank you for the last 34 years we have been allowed to serve you here at Grace Baptist Church. It is exceedingly difficult to say good-bye to people with whom we have ministered and loved and been loved. The struggle that Ledora & I went through when we began to even think about leaving the people of this great church reminds me of this passage in Acts 20, where Paul said good-bye to the elders of Ephesus, among whom verse 31 says he had ministered for 3 years, and with whom he had built a strong bond. In his farewell address, Paul emphasized three factors that I think are important reminders for any pastor to share with his people, especially as he passes on the leadership baton: true salvation, true doctrine, and true assurance.

"A Biblical Approach to Christian Ministry", 1 Thessalonians 2:4-9, Pastor Aaron E. Lavender, Sunday, October 25, 2020 Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Introduction:... Things have changed much since the first century, and yet much remains the same. Paul realized the danger of majoring on the minor and minoring on the major. His insight still speaks for ministries today. Paul was aware of the faithfulness and influence the church in Thessalonica had on those around them. He was encouraged with the presence of their faith, hope, and love. It appears that Thessalonica had grasped the New Testament model for the church. They were not a perfect church, but they were being used of the Lord. In our text verses, Paul speaks of the duties associated with a fruitful and biblical approach to ministry. I want to consider these duties as we think on: A Biblical Approach to Christian Ministry.

Deacon Marion Caruthers - Wednesday Adult Bible Study - "Keeping Unity in the Church" - Ephesians 4:1-3, 13 Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ The heresy that threatened the life of the church at Colossae... was an extremely dangerous one for three reasons: (1) It perverted the doctrine of salvation by grace teaching that faith in Christ alone was inadequate to save. (2) It insisted upon forms of asceticism (extreme self denial) which ultimately encouraged many to lean toward licentiousness. (3) It depreciated the Person of Christ, teaching that He was at best, one of many spirits who had emanated from God. Paul uses the paragraph before us to answer all his critics by proclaiming the absolute supremacy of the Lord Jesus Christ. Truly, our Lord and Savior is the INCOMPARABLE ONE. He cannot be compared to anyone or with anything. There are several truths highlighting the fact that Jesus Christ is Incomparable, and therefore demands our complete love and affection. . . . Be Strong and Very Courageous (How to Be Successful in Ministry Transition), Joshua 1:1-9, presented by Pastor Aaron E. Lavender Sunday, October 11, 2020 Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Introduction:... After Moses died, Joshua took up the reins of full leadership of Israel. He must have done so with no small amount of fear and trembling. But he no sooner assumed leadership than the Lord appeared to calm his nerves and steel his resolve. How very gracious it was of the Lord to do this! As we examine God’s words to Joshua, we can easily identify the theme: Be Strong and Very Courageous! Here we find several principles on how to have a smooth, structured, spiritual, ministry transition.

Christ’s Gifts to His Church, (How Our Diversity Cultivates Our Maturity), Ephesians 4:7-16, Exposition of the Word by Pastor Aaron E. Lavender, Sunday, October 4, 2020 Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ Introduction:... Against the backdrop of our unity in Christ (vv.1-6), I want to draw our attention to our diversity. We are all different one from the other. Yet, it is our differences that make unity within the body of Christ such a marvelous wonder to behold. In fact, it is our diversity that makes our unity possible. Let me share a few truths that present themselves in this text as I preach on the thought of Christ’s Gifts to His Church (How our Diversity Cultivates Our Maturity). I want us to see that, while we are a part of the body of Christ, we have been uniquely gifted to serve the Lord. We are a member of the body of Christ, but we are different from every other member in the body. We are special and God wants us to use our uniqueness to serve the whole Body of Christ, so that it might reach its fullest potential for the glory of God.

The Church at Philadelphia, Wednesday Bible Study, September 30, 2020, by Pastor Aaron E. Lavender Powered by Restream https://restream.io/ BACKGROUND... - Philadelphia was a successful commercial center. - Situated at the entrance of a particularly fertile valley. - Known for its many temples and religious festivals. - Located close to an active volcanic region. - Completely destroyed by an earthquake in AD 17, but eventually rebuilt. - Founded about 200 years before Christ and named by King Eumenes II for his brother Attalus. - Because of Attalus’s loyalty to his brother, he earned the nickname Philadelphus, which means the person who loves his brother. - Philadelphia, then, is the city of brotherly love.
