Gower Convalescent Center

Another successful Christmas party this year. We missed all of the families, carolers and visitors, but we compromised with what we had and the residents thoroughly enjoyed it! Thanks to Three Rivers, Frazier Baptist church and Lumicare Hospice for the cookies! Also a special thanks to Amy Warden from Lumicare Hospice and Danielle Lager for stepping in to play Santa and Mrs. Claus! You both did a wonderful job! Lots of laughter, smiles and even some happy tears shared!

It was an honor to accept the Person/Business award of the year along with Paul Pottier! This award was accepted on behalf of the entire staff at the GCC! It's been quite the year, but it couldn't have been accomplished without the entire staff at the Gower Convalescent Center, residents, families and the community. Thank you Gower Area Chamber of Commerce for the award and mayor Chip Holman!

Say hello to the new Beverly! She wanted pink, she got pink! We love her spunky personality! Show her some love, she has facbook to see all the comments!

Tammy Utz did it again! Look how beautiful this is! She decorated the courtyard for her mom and other residents to see!

Resident's always enjoy shopping at our annual Christmas store! We couldn't put this on without all of the generous donations from families and folks in the community-Thank you! Residents are able to shop with their "bingo bucks" (basically $ earned from winning bingo)! All residents are able shop without worrying about having real money! They also are used to giving gifts this time of the year! Lastly, they get the help of wrapping presents by a couple of elves in our activity department!

Shout out to Tammy Utz on her hard work outside the facility. This is absolutely beautiful and all the residents are enjoying the view out their window.

Sweet Flora Lou turned 104 years young yesterday! What better way to celebrate then to surprise her with her old friend Phil Vandel! KQ2 and the leader came too! She was super excited! We appreciate Phil coming to surprise her on short notice!
