Congratulations to Mechelle Jarvis for being this month's Employee of the Month! She is a very kind, sincere, and caring person. She takes interest in her job. She sees things that need to be done, knows how to do it, and gets it done. You don't have to ask her. She goes above and beyond to take care of the residents. She will talk to you as she works which makes your day more interesting. She is a very good Aide and well liked by all. Thank you Mechelle for all that you do!

This Month the Resident Spotlight is shining on Alice Grupe! Alice was born on April 4th 1933 near Prairie MO on her family farm. She grew up on this farm until she was 10 then her family moved close to Booneville. She attended a little country school called Hail Ridge then graduated from Booneville High School. Alice started working at the Booneville Hospital during high school as a nurse aide which she continued to do for some years. After getting married and having two ...kids, Alice then moved to Sedalia where she worked at both a shoe factory and a cookie factory. Eventually Alice moved to Columbia MO where she became a nurse aide once again. Alice's favorite hobbies are sewing, gardening, and canning. Alice has 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who are her pride and enjoy. When asked if she had any words of wisdom to share she said "Just be truthful and do the best you can, whatever you can do to try to have a good life". Great advice Alice!
