Getting closer on this one. It's definitely been the most challenging so far.

See something wrong with the drywall? That seam wasn't taped. That means that whoever did that ceiling kind of messed everything up for everyone else. It will need to be redone. Don't go with a contractor just because he is less expensive and a smooth talker. We are not salesman. WE ARE TRADESMEN! Hire a tradesman like myself and get a good quality job done.

I saw this today and couldn't pass up on the opportunity to say something. Ever wonder why the furniture in the store is so cheap, fragile, and often damaged??? This is why! The goal is to move as much furniture from one place to the other as possible. The manufacturer doesn't really care about how likely it is to get damaged while being transported. Once it gets taken off of the truck it is the stores responsibility and the return policy isn't in the store's favor. So they c...ram as much junk into the trailer as they can and hope for the best. The store will take it and sell it anyways because at that point they've already invested that much time and money and it is cheaper than replacing another ready to assemble bookshelf that cost them $5. So you bought it, you open up the box, and find out that there is a dent or worse on the product. You have to make the decision if you want to take the time to return it or live with it. Once you get a claim started it could take weeks or months to get a replacement if it isn't in stock. What a pain in the ass! I was talking to an employee and they said that roughly about 25% of what comes in has some form of damage on it. If you would like great furniture that isn't damaged and will outlive you contact me. G.O.C. cares about the quality that you get, not them!

Ever want to know what really makes a cheap cabinet? It's this! There are hardly any fasteners in them. What fasteners are there are only to hold together the cabinet and not support or reinforce in any way. Also, they are made so quickly and cheaply that a good number of them come in damaged like the ones in these pics. The manufacturers and the stores know that they are crap so what they do is they sell the damaged ones at a discount. When your order comes in you have to ...wait another few months for them to remake the ones that you are unhappy with. Say no to falling in this trap. Everything that I make is handmade and I inspect each one for quality before it ever leaves the shop. Make an investment in your kitchen and it will pay for itself 10 times over!

Notice anything interesting about this TV? You're right! Where are the wires? I did a concealment kit and hung this pic above the stairs. No I didn't lean off the railing. I have a special ladder that is designed to work around stairs that is great for this stuff.

I made this beautiful sewing cabinet for a friend. It's got all the bells and whistles. These projects are what I started Golden Oak Carpentry for. The client wants to finish with paint which is why it looks like it's unfinished.

A little back to school shopping.

Hay guys. I did this project last week. It included several pieces of furniture that needed to be delivered and assembled. At the end of the day, everything was how it should be and the clients were happy.

Okay folks. This project was awesome. We mounted 8 tv's and a sound bar yesterday. Kabam. We mounted it outside, inside, above fireplaces, in bedrooms. We need more like this.
