Our Founder Carol Coe home going celebration was yesterday! We wanted to share with our community some of the photos of her legacy called Green Acres Urban Farm and Research Project. Our members of our family were able to visit our Facilities yesterday.

We were honored to host the CEO of Evergy Terry Bassman and other distinguished guests who attended our First Harvest Event. Green Acres was able to showcase and present the designs for our new global bio park in Kansas City, Missouri! Wow what a busy day at Green Acres! GO GREEN. Today we donated pounds and pounds of leafy organic greens to After the Harvest. We were able to deliver to Thelma's Kitchen on 31st and Troost.

Faith Academy KC students are involved in many programs designed to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. We are a global society and therefore the students of Faith Academy are preparing to compete with their peers around the world. Our students will investigate and conduct experimental concepts weekly through demonstrations, research, and presentations. Instructions will encompass the use of technology, interdisciplinary projects, and both independent and small group work. Students will compete in both District competitions and in the Kansas City area. Students will have opportunities to compete nationally. Weekly reparation is done to prepare students for these competitions. Critical thinking and applying creativity in their projects are highly stressed throughout this module. Green Acres Urban Farm and Research Project is a partnership between the City of Kansas City, Missouri, the KCMO School District and other organizations. This project utilizes campus greenhouses at East High School to launch an aquaponics program an initiative that will provide fresh food to the community, education, and hands-on learning for students. Through common goals, partnerships and innovative thinking, all involved in this effort are chipping away at the problems of urban food deserts, compromised educational systems, crime and a lack of jobs. This project will feed people nourishing foods while nurturing their souls through a new connection to food, agriculture, and aquaponics. Green Acres develops solutions to address urban agriculture challenges and provides donor-funded training for emerging farmers on efficient organic cultivation and produce distribution. The organization works to develop urban organic markets and micro-cooperatives with a focus on organically developed solutions and acts as the distributor of harvested produce.
