Disobedience Disobedience means failure or refusal to obey rules or someone in authority. Young children have no knowledge of what disobedience looks like because of their level of thinking. As we grow, we learn how disobedience looks. We learn what it means to be disobedient. The problem comes when we refuse to, first, acknowledge we are being disobedient and second, make the necessary changes. Now let's look at disobedience through God's eyes. God asks us to make changes in... our lives. As a new or baby Christian, we don't have the knowledge we need to understand what God is asking of us. God's grace covers us through the process. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, more will be asked of us. God will ask us to give up relationships which are hindering our growth. He will ask us to stop doing certain habits which are negatively impacting our relationship with Him. He may even ask you to change the channel on TV because the shows have material mature Christians shouldn't be watching anymore. Condemnation vs Conviction According to Merriam Webster dictionary, condemnation means a statement or expression of very strong and definite criticism or disapproval. Conviction means the act of convincing a person of error or of compelling the admission of a truth; the state of being convinced of error or compelled to tell the truth. God is so good to us because through all the messiness of life He never condemns. This is confirmed in Romans 8:1 NIV - Therefore, there is now... no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. On the other hand, Holy Spirit will bring to memory the mistakes we have made. Through the process of remembering we begin to see our errors and we feel a stirring in our hearts. This stirring is the leading of Holy Spirit giving us the opportunity to repent of our sins. This is shown to be the process of conviction. If we would not be made to feel conviction, we would never yield to repentance. Thankfully, Gods loves each of us so much He sent His son Jesus to take every sin away. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary regret means sorrow aroused by circumstances beyond one's control or power to repair; to express sad feelings about something that is disappointing or unpleasant. We all have a past. We all have regrets. The thing is, God doesn't want us to hold onto or live in these past things. God's salvation through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ freed us from this bondage. Turn the page - start fresh. Let go of it all and move forward into the glorious present God has allowed you to see, so you can move into the future refreshed and renewed expecting many blessings from our heavenly Father. Dear Abba Papa, We thank you for this day you have given us. Thank you for your character as a guide for us to live by. Abba, please forgive America's children of all sins, for we fail to follow what you ask of us to do. Please create in us clean hearts and right spirits. Wash our crimson stains and make us whiter than snow. Thank you for your healing mercy and grace over us all. Abba, we come humbly and boldly in the mighty name of Jesus, to your throne of grace to pray over... your beloved children in the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives. Abba these children are defiling everything you stand for in this country - love, truth, peace, unity, humility, and self-control because of satan's strongmen that have made themselves at home while we all have sat back and allowed it. Abba, as of this moment we say, "In the mighty name of Jesus, satan you must seize and desist your control over our govt RIGHT NOW! In the name of the Most Precious Jesus Christ, we bind spirit of division, spirit of antichrist, spirit of haughtiness, spirit of deceptiom, and lying spirit. Go now! In the name of Jesus, anger and hate GO! Fear Go! Pride go! You have to leave NOW!! Abba, you said in Matt. 23:12, "Humble yourself lest you be humbled." Abba please remind these men and women who they work for - YOU. This is YOUR COUNTRY, YOUR LAND. YOU established the United States of America as a symbol of freedom. Abba, for everyone who is against your freedoms - SEND THEM Back TO THEIR HOME. Anyone who is against YOU - remove them by ANY means necessary! Abba, your children are tired of all the games, hypocrisy, and shenanigans going on in DC. and we are not going to tolerate it anymore. This is not about party lines, people, power or prestige. This is all about deceit from satan. Abba Papa, please open the spiritual eyes, ears, and heart to all of your children, so they can discern the tricks of the enemy. Abba, we thank you for the miracle, signs, and wonders we are going to see as a result of the prayers of your children. We give you all praise, honor, and glory.
