Individual will be a floater between both locations and front office and clinical. Must have medical knowledge. 1. Check the daily schedule for accuracy. 2. Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time.... 3. Confirm the next day and the next week patient’s appointments. 4. Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism. 5. Greet and welcome patients and visitors to the practice. 6. Check in patients, verify, and update patient information. 7. Gather and accurately record insurance information from patients. 8. See that records are stored securely and handled in compliance with HIPPA. 9. Update insurance information on patients. 10. Discuss sliding scale or copay issues with patients for collection of payment. 11. Maintains petty cash. 12. Enter patient’s financial activity into account. 13. Prepares bank deposit. 14. Post checks received. 1. Prepares treatment rooms for patient by sanitizing and disinfecting per health center protocol. 2. Prepares patient for treatment by welcoming, comforting, and rooming the patient. 3. Provides clinical information to the patient by answering questions and request. 4. Obtains patient vital signs, patient medical history and does complete assessment to prepare for provider’s examination by documenting and charting in the EMR. 5. Assists the provider during exam or procedure. 6. Educate patients by giving discharge instructions, as needed. 7. Maintains patient’s confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. 8. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 9. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infections control policies and procedures. 10. Performs proper cleaning and sterilization techniques for medical instruments, equipment, and supplies. 11. School is back in session! Two of GMHC’s Nurse Practitioners, Ashley Reese and Kristen Jennings, provided screenings for lipid and A1c levels at the Farmington School Health Fair (held on March 12th, 2021). In addition to these screenings, these amazing medical professionals were able to provide information to parents and teachers about GMHC’s Farmington Clinic and our School-Based Programs! Did you know your child can be seen at our school based clinics? Paperwork must be completed and returned to the clinic for your child to be seen.
