Let's be sure to actively love God! Remembering Romans 8:28, that when we love God all things work together for good. Clearly evident in the lives of Mary and Joseph as the government's taxation was used to fulfill prophecy so that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem.

Seems like it has been a long time since hearing messages on this passage and topic. Sad, because the holiness movement prepared the way for the Pentecostal outpouring at the beginning of the last century. Wondering what would happen if people saw true Godly holiness in the lives of believers?

Praise God because He grants encouraging endurance! So, accept His provision of an attitude of determination to glorify God together with other believers with one mind and voice. Then, watch how He will advance His kingdom through us.

Even in the birth of Jesus that first Christmas, God demonstrated His desire to repeatedly use what is little esteemed in the eyes of people and turn it into something great. To that point, the prophets prophesied is birth in lowly Bethlehem. And, He continues to do so today.

Be sure to receive the greatest gift ever given. The gift that continues to give life and purpose each day we live.

Doing so makes it easier to respond to the Holy Spirit's "call to action" in terms of "sharing the reason for our hope" to those who are looking for hope in Jesus.

A few of that "great cloud of witnesses" stories are in Hebrews 11. Truly, we can be encouraged, strengthened, and challenged by those who have faithfully gone before. So, go head and throw of the hinderances of this world and sin so that you are freed to run the race to the glory of God!

Taking a stand by definition means there is risk and opposition, often spiritually based in unrighteousness and sin. Believers encourage other believers by uniting in prayer, faith, and action. Doing so strengthens others to trust God and see the powers of darkness pushed back. Go ahead and stand and let your light shine.

God has a purpose for each believer that you can fulfill better than anyone else. A purpose that advances the kingdom of God.

Our mighty God! He will NEVER forsake us. Never has and promises He never will. No matter what we will face, He cares and will take care of us.

Go ahead and count your blessings!

Similar to Moses' instruction to the Children of Israel to choose a life of blessing by obeying God and His Word or cursing by disobeying God and His Word (Deuteronomy 11:26-28). The promise of God is if you live for Him you will enjoy His blessings. A lie of the enemy is that you can sin with no consequences.

Knowing and obeying the Word plus abiding in Christ provides a means of hearing and following the Holy Spirit that makes us better! Listening to the lies of the world and following the voice of this age makes one bitter. Choose wisely.
