"We have established a Brick Campaign as both a fundraiser to help pay for our new Stratton’s Landing Concession Plaza and a unique opportunity for past, current, and future players/families to lea...ve a lasting memory with the Glendale High School baseball program. As a part of the patio area of Stratton's Landing, the new, enhanced concessions area, a 7' x 20' brick plaza under the awning of the serving side has been created. Laser monogramed clay paving bricks will be displayed in this area to recognize players, supporting businesses, or other individuals connected to the program. A brick campaign website (https://squareup.com/store/glendale-merchants-baseball) is available with more information, including details on cost and how to order a brick, pictures of the paver area at Stratton's Landing, and more. To order online, you may do so from the site. To order with a check, forms are available on the Glendale Baseball website (glendalebaseball.weebly.com) and may be printed and mailed to address listed on the site. We plan to place our first set of paver orders by July 20th so please place your orders ASAP. This will be an ongoing fundraiser and pavers will be available to purchase while spacing is available. Baseball Families and Fans, Ozark Public Television has produced a documentary on Missouri State University baseball titled "A Winning Tradition." It premieres tonight, Thursday, July 20, at 8:00 pm. Coach Bell, Coach Snodgrass and Coach Blasi were part of the 1981-1985 era, along with MSU's first draftee Glendale's Mark Bailey ('80-'82). Check it out if you can.

There will be a Physical Night at Glendale in the practice gym on July 18 starting at 6:00. It costs $15. The athletes will need to have medical info, insurance info, and parents signatures. Let you athletes know about this night. It is a cheap and convenient way to get this out of the way.

Glendale Baseball and the coaching staff are hosting its annual Springfield Area College Showcase Camp next Wednesday, June 21st, and all high school players are welcome to attend. The showcase will be conducted like most college or professional showcase camps. Although geared for Juniors to get exposure, this is also a great affordable way for freshman & sophomores to grow accustomed to showcase style camps. The cost is $60 per player and here are some tips and camp informat...ion: Pitchers/Catchers start at 1:00, registration starts at 12:30. All Position Players start at 3:30, registration starts at 3:00. P/C’s and IF/OF’s can attend both sessions for one $60 entry fee. Wear your team uniform with number. Players will run 60’s, catchers will throw to 2nd base, IF’s will throw from SS, OF’s will throw from RF. (Position players must choose either IF or OF, not both.) Everyone will have the opportunity to bat. Concession stand will be open and selling cold drinks, candy, snacks, etc.

Last Thursday was a bittersweet night at the 2017 Baseball Banquet as we said best wishes to 11 seniors and Coach Snodgrass. Great seasons were celebrated for the Freshman (21 wins), the JV (21 wins) and the Varsity (22 wins). We began with college baseball signings for Trace Clinkenbeard (Avila) and Tanner Kellerstrass (OK Wesleyan). The following awards were voted on by the players: Freshman Players of the Year went to David Wells and Matthew Kellerstrass. JV Player of th...e Year went to Thomas Brand. Varsity Player of the Year went to Trace Clinkenbeard. Varsity Pitchers of the Year went to Noah Lachnit and Ethan Pashke. Quality At Bats was awarded to Owen Gann and Trace Clinkenbeard. The Gold Glove award went to Tanner Kellerstrass. The Howard Bell Inspiration award went to Eli Wells. We are proud to say all 11 seniors are college bound. The sun just set on a great season. Glendale lost to Ozark 3-4 in the semifinals. We were 22-8 and Ozark Conference Champs. Good job, Falcons--we are proud of you!

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV on their victories over Joplin and to Trace Clinkenbeard on receiving the Howard Bell scholarship. Thank you to everyone that made Senior Night so special!

The Varsity was victorious over Webb City last night giving them their 20th win (two seasons in a row)! Tonight they host Joplin which is also Senior Night--the seniors will be recognized after their 4:30 game then the JV game will follow. This will also be Coach Snodgrass's last home game. It's going to be a beautiful day at the ballpark! Go Falcons!

Rescheduling update: The Varsity will be hosting Rolla on Friday at 4:30 with the JV to follow. The Freshman tournament games for Friday have been moved to Hillcrest (thank you, Coach Schaffitzel, for sharing your field)! Go Falcons!

Congratulations to the Varsity and JV teams on their wins against Lebanon last night. Tonight's game against Joplin (which was also Senior Night) has been rescheduled for Tuesday. The Falcons will be traveling on Friday to Rolla and on Monday to Webb City. They will be home Saturday to play Sedalia at 10:00 and Republic at 3:00. So rain go away! Go Falcons!

Big day for the Falcons Tuesday. They play Lebanon, but prior to the game at 4:30, there will be a special ceremony dedicating the new concession stand which will be called Stratton's Landing! Come and see Mark Stratton throw out the first pitch, and cheer on the Falcons!

A huge thank you to the committee that organized the A Night With Ned Roast. Your hard work paid off for a very entertaining evening! And thank you to everyone that attended and helped in anyway. The baseball program is very appreciative.
