I had a new client reach out to me asking to book an appointment for a pretty drastic color change. After we exchanged a few text and she showed me what her hair looked like at that moment, along with what her end goal was, I realized this would end up being quite a process and would possibly require more than one appointment... I laid in bed the night before her appointment, staring at the ceiling and talking to myself while playing chemist in my mind, and eventually came up... with the perfect recipe to get her back to a natural look with a shadow root and dirty blonde ends. Fast forward to the next day: She comes in for her appointment and I tell her the plan I came up with and we both agreed and then got started... Step one: Color remover. We had to remove the red/violet color from her hair before we could do anything else... Now let me tell you guys what happened next.... THAT COLOR REMOVER WAS LIKE MAGIC!!! I didn’t have to put a single drop of bleach on her head because that color remover took her straight platinum! (She’s naturally blonde) Literally zero bleach was used! So I was able to toss a few of my next planned out steps right into the trash, and just went straight to a shadow root and lowlights and got her looking exactly as I had been hoping for! My entire mind was blown... even after 11 years of doing hair, I still find ways to learn new things and be so impressed at what us stylist are capable of!
