We are very excited to announce that our latest manuscript is now officially published online in Gastroenterology! The article is available at the link below for a limited time, so be sure and check it out! https://www.gastrojournal.org//S0016-5085(19)4097/fulltext

Geneoscopy’s most recent manuscript, Noninvasive Detection of High-risk Adenomas Using Stool-derived Eukaryotic RNA Sequences as Biomarkers was accepted as an open-access Brief Communication in Gastroenterology! Gastroenterology is the premier journal in gastrointestinal disease research and the official journal of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Institute. The manuscript describes the capabilities of seRNA for accurate detection of precancerous adenomas... in asymptomatic patients without the need for an invasive procedure. This study identified and utilized 16 seRNA biomarkers, attaining a 45% sensitivity and 87% specificity for high-risk adenoma detection. seRNA provides unique and quantitative information related to gastrointestinal health and is currently being leveraged by Geneoscopy in tandem with other biomarkers to develop a highly accurate and noninvasive screening alternative for colorectal cancer and precancerous adenomas. These results indicate that Geneoscopy’s diagnostic could significantly improve on existing alternatives to prevent and detect colorectal cancer, the second deadliest cancer in the US. The article will appear in print later in 2019, but you can access it right now at the link below: https://www.gastrojournal.org//S0016-5085(19)4097/fulltext

CSO Erica Barnell recently returned from the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA, where she received the Get Your Rear In Gear Philadelphia Scholar-in-Training Award, supported by Get Your Rear In Gear Philadelphia and the Colon Cancer Coalition. This highly competitive award provides grant funding to investigators and recognizes early-career scientists presenting exemplary colorectal cancer research at the AACR Annual Meeting. Erica also presented Geneoscopy’s latest research, Stool-derived eukaryotic RNA (seRNA) assay for noninvasive detection of colorectal cancer and high-risk adenomas at an AACR poster session. A lot of exciting developments taking place at the moment, which we will be divulging later next month!

Knowing how to work a pipette, authoring a scientific paper, and having the ability to dunk on a regulation size basketball hoop. 4 years ago, I would have told... you that none of these were possible. Today, I am happy to say 1/3 ain't bad. So excited to publish Geneoscopy's latest research focused on the development of a preventive screening test for colorectal cancer and high-risk adenomas and proud to continue to advance the Company's mission of improving gastrointestinal health. https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/534412v1
