Ms. Carol is one of many volunteers that serve our community with our Bread Basket ministry! We have partnered with a couple Panera Bread stores to distribute their leftovers to the community. Please stop by our fellowship on Friday mornings between 9:30-10:30am. This ministry is such a blessing to our church and community!

You know it is CrAzY Sock Night at Awana Bible Club when socks end up on your head! With two club meetings left in the year, we are just so thankful to the Lord for the chance to teach kiddos the truths of God. What a privilege!

We rejoice in announcing the ordination of Chris Shirrell, our missionary to Japan! Pastor Kevin was privileged to serve on the ordination council and to lead the ordination prayer. Pastor Kevin prayed that God would fill Chris with the power to proclaim Christ in Japan. Chris and Miranda will be approved as BBFI church planters to Japan later this week at the national meeting. A couple families from our church will be there to cheer on our behalf!... Pray for the Shirrell's as they eagerly await the re-opening of Japan's borders. We are with you, Chris and Miranda!

Our fifth and final counseling observation was enjoyed by 30+ participants this morning! This mornings observation covered a sobering topic impacting many families - pornography. Consider these sad statistics:... 70% of men aged 18 to 24 visit a porn site at least once per month The largest consumer group of online porn is men between the ages of 35 and 49 One-third of all internet porn users are women (reported by Dr. Robert Weiss and The Recovery Village) -- May God use this training to provide victory and hope for those wrestling against the sin of pornography. About 18-months ago, Abby and her husband joined our church. She shared the following message, wanting to publicly encourage our church this week: "I’m so thankful to the Lord today for our dear church family. I’m so grateful for each believer that makes up our body of Christ here at Grace. I’ve never been a part of such a healthy church that puts God first, and that loves one another so selflessly. This church has been springs in the desert for me and my family. ... I am personally so thankful for the godly leadership in our pastors and elders, for all of the people behind the scenes who keep up the property, those that make programs and events happen, and the individuals who participate in private discipleship." Flashback Friday! I found this 16-year-old gem in the back of a storage room a few weeks ago. Pastor Kevin and Mrs. Heidi are standing in front of our current sanctuary as it was being built. What a blessing it is to have the Kolb family with our church for the past 25 years!

We still have a few spaces left! On Saturday, January 16th, a group of men and women will meet with Pastor Kevin to watch and discuss three recorded biblical counseling sessions on eating disorders. The goal of the morning is to equip participants with a more biblical understanding of food and the body while giving them truths they can share with struggling friends.... Isn't God amazing! 13 people attended our first Starting Point class of 2021. This six-week class shares who we are and what we believe at GBC and is the first step to church membership. Please pray for the men and women participating and for our two instructors!
