Hello Team Whiteman, Following recommendations from the base and the Fitness Center director, I have decided to cancel classes until further notice. I am sad that it has come to this but ultimately it is in the best interest of my students and the base at whole. Social distancing is the current stance of the base to slow down potential COVID-19 spread on base. BJJ is the total opposite of social distancing. Hello everyone! First I'd like to thank everyone for the great start for 2020. It really has been alot of fun teaching and getting to know all of you! This year is has been and is going to be very interesting for my family. As some of you are aware I am getting out of active duty and joining the Guard here on Whiteman. While this thankfully means we will remain here with the team indefinitely it also signals a huge transition with alot of moving parts. Thankfully we have ver...y supportive friends who help us with day to day operations so classes can continue under most circumstances. But from here until June there will be some changes to the schedule to accommodate times where i will have other pressing obligations and have no one to cover for shawna and I. Hopefully this will be minimal but i wanted to be up front about it. After this transition period we have huge plans for the team so we hope you will stick with us during. Thank you all again! -John
