A great Thursday night of field hockey at SportPort! Here’s a fun clip from some of our younger athletes during coach @vivikeefer and @clairewoods17 skills stations.

Despite the weather, many of our K-6th grade club players were able to practice tonight on indoor turf! Thanks @stl_athletic_center for accommodating us. This Sunday kicks off the 19th year of Gateway Spring League in St. Louis. With games held on turf at SportPort and Villa, our spring league is home to over 650 elite, intermediate, and beginner athletes among nine different age divisions from ages 3-18 years old. With local, regional, and national level tournaments happening throughout the spring and summer, our elite club players are busy preparing and challenging each other to be the best they can be!

Congratulations to Esther Pottebaum and Gigi Edwards for being named by MAX Field Hockey top 100 players to watch in the class of 2023!

Neely has shown consistent dedication, hard work, and a love for the game from her early years until now, her senior year at Miami! Way to go Neely Lochmoeller! You are a role model for all the young Gateway girls playing today.

Pretty cool to reflect back to the history of intercollegiate field hockey! Check out the 1979 Missouri State Bears (SMS) and you will see the familiar face of our director Kelly Yates and her National Championship team!
