We talk about videos, social post and all types of interactions on a daily basis - but it's important to realize the impacts our words have on others. I've wat...ched this videos a few times a month for years now, I'm not honestly sure why it had the impact on my thought process that it did. And I post it because it's got some humor, and we need a laugh right now. But even though it's a toastmasters speech, and even though it's funny, it speaks to an important truth....atleast important to me. Maybe it's important for me, because it's something that I so easily overlook - your words matter. Your words, they have impacts that you may have not realized - both good and bad. In my life, I've learned that so many unfortunate circumstances were rooted in a simple unintended consequence. And most of those of those unintended consequences? They were started with nothing more than a word, a sentence, a phrase. My mother and father, Rick, and mentors like Dutch have consistently always said "watch what comes out of your mouth " or "speak it, and you'll get it"......maybe there's something to it. In this time of crisis, I challenge you to be a light of positivity. I challenge you to watch your words, and use them to lift others.
