Hello Everyone, Happy Monday! As we recently posted, we are going to be more active on social media. Daily Reflections is a day by day which touches on different aspects of recovery and is a great spiritual bump to start your day! Hi Facebook friends! We just wanted to post another introduction being that we are going to be more active on Facebook moving forward and being that several really cool changes have happened within the program recently. First let’s welcome Max Muller to Full Circle. He was born and raised in Kansas City and got sober in a program with the enthusiastic approach in the St. Louis area. We would like to welcome him home as the newest Senior Coordinator of the program. Next we ar...e excited to announce that we will be getting our own space in south Johnson County for our parent and youth appointments and to host our weekly meetings and functions. This is also exciting because it gives the youth in Full Circle a safe, fun environment to spend time during the day. More details to come as the grand opening date rapidly approaches. Full Circle is a cost free 12 step based enthusiastic approach alternative peer support group helping young adults and adolescents in the Kansas City area from the ages of 14 to 25. We have a focus on sobriety but we also provide tools to deal with destructive compulsive behaviors such as self harm, eating disorders, pornography etc. We have 12 step meetings twice a week on Monday and Thursday nights along with social functions on Friday and Saturday nights. The social functions provide the youth in our program an outlet and fun alternative on the weekends to connect with other kids dedicated to sobriety. We believe this is a family disease and that family involvement is a key factor in the long term success of the young adults in Full Circle. We provide weekly appointments with staff to the new parents in our program, along with parent meetings on Thursday nights. The parent meetings are provided as an outlet to talk with other parents going through similar difficulties and experiences with their kids. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our experience, strength and hope with everyone and to help the Kansas City community one family at a time.
