We are very sad to share the news of the passing of one of our Fr. Scheid Players family members. Jim Gunter, who was a part of our band, passed away on Wednesday, November 11th. Jim's wife Pam is also a long time band member, and daughter Sarah helped as part of the tech crew. Visitation is today at Kutis City Chapel and the funeral is tomorrow at St. Stephen Protomartyr Church. Our prayers are with Pam, Sarah and their family during these difficult days. Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace.
We are sorry to announce that the Fr. William Scheid Players have cancelled our annual summer musical production for 2020. COVID-19 social distancing guidelines and restrictions will not allow us to safely put on a production this year. We will miss seeing our wonderful audience, and we hope to return with new productions in 2021. In the meantime, be assured of our prayers for everyone's health and safety during these unusual times.
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Fr. James Edwards passed away on Wednesday, May 13th. He was a cast member of the Fr. William Scheid Players from 1981 until 2008, when he retired due to health reasons. He was able to come back once or twice after that for a walk on role, and was always well received by the cast, crew and our audience. Fr. Edwards will be remembered for his kind heart, his bright smile, and his ability to memorize his (and others) lines in just a few days. He will be missed. Funeral services are private due to COVID-19 restrictions, a public memorial service will be held at a later date. Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him.

Thank you to all who came out last weekend to see our production of Once Upon A Mattress. We appreciate everyone's support of our group. The cast and production staff are now taking a well deserved break, and we hope to see you all in 2020. Thanks again!
