The legal drinking age is 21. Any person under 21 caught with even a trace of alcohol will have their license suspended. Many substance-impaired drivers are under the age of 21. Please make good choices this weekend!

Work Zone safety is in your hands. In 2020, 27 people were killed in work zone crashes in Missouri. Since 2000, 19 MoDOT employees have been killed in the line of duty, 13 of them in work zones. Now that the weather is turning cold outside everyone wants to get into a warm car, including thieves. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended while it is warming up. It only takes a matter of a few seconds for an opportunistic thief to drive away with your car. Also, to stay safe never run your car in a closed garage because that creates the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The Frontenac Police Department would like to thank all those in this community who made donations of non-perishable food items over the past week. The food collected will be donated to the St. Louis Area Food Banks in honor of fallen St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officer Tamarris Bohannon, who was killed in the line of duty on August 29, 2020. A large amount of non-perishable food items was donated and will go to help needy families in the St. Louis community this holiday season. The Frontenac Police Department thanks you again and wish you all a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

Time to get ready for the #9pmroutine. The West County area has shown an increase in car break-ins lately due to holiday shopping. Do not become a victim! Please make sure to lock your vehicles and do not leave any items in plain view. Thieves love to window shop too. The Frontenac Police Department would like your help and if you see anything suspicious, please contact West Central Dispatch Center @ 314-737-4600. Keep it yours! Lock your doors!!
