Hi everyone, I am going to update about what has been done lately in the villages in Kusi area. By the grace of God, I still continually cook for orders almost every week or every couple weeks and all the money will be sent monthly to Grace Mercy Home Charity to support the welfare of children in Nusa Tenggara Timur (One province located in the Eastern part of the Southern Eastern islands in Indonesia). ... This has been the third year of the fundraising project, and so thank you so much for the contribution from everyone of you. I believe it is because of His faithfulness and loving kindness that He wants to show everyone that He cares even to the little ones in the outermost part of the globe. To God be the glory. PAUD (Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini) or school for the younger ages: Kindergarteners and below has been actively running since its establishment. The roof that was damaged due to strong wind has been replaced. Mrs Kaesmetan, during her last visit, came to 2 new villages: Klofo village and Melatete village which are located about 2 hours from Kusi village. There are around 200 children in Klofo village and 100 children in Melatete village. They were receiving some food, having lesson and singing activities as well. Also, another important thing is the need of clean water. It is quite a basic necessity for the area. There is no clean water available within short distances. So she has been praying for that. By the grace of God, hopefully there will be water treatment installed in Kusi village. So children do not have to walk far to get water everyday. They can wash freely with good water. So during her last visit, with the help from one elder from Kusi Village, a team from water treatment company and Mrs. Kaesmetan met with one Government official (Bupati in Indonesian) at his office. Hope this one step will continue on to completion so that clean water is available in the Kusi village. Thank you so much for the support sent from the water treatment company. I am encouraged to hear news from Mrs. Kaesmetan. Step by step there is always good thing happening. I hope this update can be a blessing to you in some ways. Here are some pictures from her last visit. (Let your light shine so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16)

Hi everyone, I would like to give an update on the fundraising to the kids in Indonesia (in Nusa Tenggara Timur). I still do support every month to the kids there. All the money from every order that I received go to Grace and Mercy Home Charity. Last June 2016, they bought school uniforms for 70 children that go to school in three different locations. Each school has two full time teachers that stay with them during school time. ... Also, in last July 2016, the charity organized kids gathering in 4 different villages. They had meal time together and fun activities such as singing and dancing competition. Also they gave away some presents to moms and children over there. Thank you so much for everyone that support this fundraising. May God bless each of you abundantly :)

Hi everyone, I have more pictures that were sent by Mrs. Maria Kaesmetan from last April. These are pictures of their recent visit to four different villages in East Timor (Nusa Tenggara Timur). There are so many children in this area, which is about 1000 children in total . So during their visit they had prayer gathering and also food distribution to everyone of them. Last year the foundation has been established by her under the name of Grace and Mercy Home. Also a new school for smaller children was opened so they can go to school in a close walking distance. Thank you ibu Maria Kaesmetan and team for making differences in this area. Thank you also that we can take part in the lives of these children. Hope whatever dream and wish that they have will come true.

Thank you everyone who ordered food last weekend (Jan 15th & 16th 2016) and some who donated money for this charity. Here are some recent pictures from Ibu Maria Kaesmetan who visited Kusi village last December 2015. It is always been a blessing to see kids having a visit and receiving gifts from others. I continually pray that God will bless you. May you can always enjoy the food from my kitchen while helping the kids. Thank you :)

Indonesian Traditional Rice Dish - Tumpeng Tumpeng is a shaped rice, normally yellow rice, with various dishes arranged on a big platter and decorated with garnishes to make it more presentable. This is normally served on special gatherings or some ceremonies. I enjoyed making this since it is not only cooking different foods but also putting them together with garnishes of different shapes and colors.
