We are excited to have a full-time opening available for an experienced (MUST HAVE 3+ YEARS MINIMUM) auto upholstery technician. All candidates MUST have the following experiences: -Knowledge of all aspects of automotive upholstery and applications that require a wide variety of techniques, methods, and materials. This can include upholstery restoration, replacement, and repair from start to finish. Experience with interiors, custom interiors, design, headliners, convertible tops, seats, carpet, trim, door panels, repairing springs, etc. -Use of hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, measuring, cutting, patterning, hand stitching, sketching, and more. -Able to envision and exceed our client's expectations for custom car interiors. This requires a level of detail that is extremely high. It takes someone who is self-motivated, hard working, and has passion/takes pride in their work. -Must be able to bid jobs, maintain accurate records of all materials used, keep a well organized work space that's clean, and work in accordance with the shops SOP's/Handbook guidelines. -May assist with training of lesser-experienced employees who take interest in automotive upholstery. -Any secondary skill set in the automotive field would be excellent but not required. -Please provide photos and descriptions of previous work you've completed. -Must be willing to pass a drug and criminal background check. Physical Requirements -Be able to carry and lift at least 50 lbs. -Routine physical motion of arms and hands with an emphasis on grip strength. -May require both standing and sitting for long periods of time depending on the work being done.
