Henderson Ranch shipped 150 fat steers to the packing house yesterday. Sucks to lose over $100/head on these cattle while the packing house will profit nearly ...$600/head on these same cattle. Some quick math: Henderson Ranch will lose appx $15,000.00 on these steers, and Cargill will profit appx $87,000.00 on this shipment of cattle. The packers continue to pay ranchers/feedlots less for beef while charging the general public substantially more. We need congress to step in and stop this fleecing! Farmers/ranchers do 99% of the work while the packers reap 99% (or more) of the profits! See more
