Signal update for those in the Lake of the Ozarks area. We have a similar situation there as to the western portion of our coverage area. When we turned on our new transmitter system (which is actually on channel 22, even though your TV says 49), we discovered that KQFX (Fox-Columbia) is also still operating on channel 22. They're supposed to move to a different channel, but don't yet have FCC approval to vacate the channel. So, where those signals clash, your TV can't lo...ck on to them. Hopefully this will change when KQFX is able to change their frequency. But, don't know when that will be. We've also heard from a few folks in that area that have been using 'rabbit ears' to get the signal. Now, all they're getting a KMOS with a tower near Tipton. You have to be able to the Springfield stations in order to get us. If you didn't previously get the Springfield stations, you probably won't get KRBK anymore.
We have an update for those in the areas of Stockton, Greenfield, west of Mt Vernon etc. We have discovered that the small TV station at Missouri Southern State University (KGCS-LD) is also operating on the same channel as us. KGCS is supposed to move to channel 21, to clear the channel for KRBK (and KOKI in Tulsa). However, the FCC has not yet granted their request to make that change. As a result, our new signal and KGCS's signal may be clashing in the western end of o...ur coverage area. If that happens, your TV can't lock onto it. We think that's what may be happening in the Stockton and Greenfield areas, and west of Mt. Vernon in Lawrence county. We're investigating what can be done to speed up the process for KGCS to vacate the channel we're both legally operating on at this time. While KGCS is a lower power station, the nature of the digital signal is such that not much interference results in the TV set not being able to lock on the signal. See more
Reminder: Rescanning is only for those who watch on antenna. If you have cable or satellite, there's no need to rescan.Reminder: Rescanning is only for those who watch on antenna. If you have cable or satellite, there's no need to rescan.
Rescan date is done. Old system has been shut off. We've had a few folks who've had some problems with their rescan. Keep trying. If you get channel 27, you should be able to receive the new KRBK system. They're on the same tower with the same amount of power.

WooHoo! New transmitter began testing today. Try a rescan and see if you can get it!
Rescan day is still October 31. We should begin testing our new equipment Tuesday (10/23). It was supposed to be Monday, but we're missing a couple of cable pieces. Should be delivered Tuesday, and we can begin testing.
KRBK's rescan day is October 31.
KRBK Signal update (Monday 7-16) Now that World Cup soccer is over, we have returned to normal broadcasting. We also understand that we have trouble reaching some of our viewers with antenna signal. Our project to build a new transmitter to replace our multiple tower system is continuing rapidly. A significant amount of physical work to the tower will begin Monday, 7-23, and is expected to take 4 to 6 weeks. Our goal is to get the new tower on-the-air by the middle of September. Once the new signal is active, we expect to be able to reach every viewer without the kinds of problems we have now.
Signal Update: Having to scramble our satellite signal (because of demands from FIFA World Soccer Association) has caused all kinds of technical problems. Some TV's have changed our channels from 49.1-49.4 to 49.3-49.6. Some TV's can't pick up our signal at all. Some cable companies don't have equipment to descramble our signal, and our channels aren't there at all.... The final World Cup soccer game is Sunday. We will cease scrambling Monday morning, and revert everything to normal. We absolutely apologize for all the signal issues. We've heard from dozens and dozens of people who have lost our signal. Thanks for your patience. See more
Friday 4pm (7-6-2018) 1. We're still having AC problems at our Polk tower. The transmitter is overheating and shutting down intermittently. 2. Due to FIFA requirements in connection with World Cup soccer, we've been ordered to temporarily change our broadcast signal. Our satellite signal on Galaxy 16 is now scrambled. If you are affected please let us know where you live and which cable system you are using, or if you receive an over the air signal. We know there are hobbyists across the country that view our signal with backyard C-band dishes. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.
300pm 7-5-18 We're having trouble with the air conditioning at our Polk site. We've got service people headed that way. Sorry for the inconvenience.
A few photos of our new transmitter plant under construction. When his facility comes online, we will have similar coverage to all the other Springfield TV stations. There's a lot of work yet to do, including a tower crew who has to reinforce the tower, and then install our antenna and feedline. If all goes well, we hope to be able to turn it on in September.
