Due to COVID-19 the library will be closed until further notice.

EFFECTIVE closing March 18 due to the COVID-19. The library will be closed to the public until Thursday, April 7.

Did you know that we have in the library St. Francis Borgia bulletins dating from 1921 to 1966. Bulletins include parish news, marriage banns and baptisms.

We have the Goodspeed books in the library. The books involve local history and biographies. One of the books includes the History of Franklin County, Washington included.

The next regular business meeting of the FRGS is scheduled for April 15, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. and will be held at the Ralph Gregory Library on 4th and Market in Washington, Missouri.

A Proposed Amendment to the By-Laws of the FRGS is shown below and will be considered at the next regular business meeting. CURRENT SECTION Article VI Meetings Section 1... Regular business meetings of the Society shall be held monthly, on the third Tuesday of each month, beginning at 3:00 P.M. If the regularly scheduled meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting shall be automatically rescheduled for the fourth Tuesday of that month. The regular meeting will be convened at the Washington Historical Society located at 4th and Market, Washington, Missouri. PROPOSED AMENDMENT Section 1 Regular business meetings of the Society shall be held monthly at a date and time established by a majority vote of the Society at a previous business meeting. Notice of the date, time and location of the scheduled meeting shall be made at least ten days prior to said meeting. See more
