Flying Fur Grooming Salon 08.06.2021

In 2014 someone brought in the sweetest 7 yr old kitty to be shaved. She was a Himalayan and matted solid. Her original owners didn’t want her anymore Bc sometimes she pooped outside the litter box. The lady that brought her in was going to let Bailey live in her basement so she wasn’t put to sleep. I’ve never owned a cat but I knew they were pretty Independent so I asked her if she could live at the salon instead of her basement and she thanked me and the rest was history. B...ailey was my shop kitty. The best kitty ever. She immediately loved me and I loved her. She wasn’t scared of dogs and was the sweetest girl ever. In 2016 she got really sick and Dr Zeis performed an exploratory surgery and found some liver disease. I nursed her back to life and Dr Zeis told me to just keep her eating and drinking and she should be okay. And she was. I came into work yesterday morning and found her gasping and shaking fighting for her life laying on the floor. I rushed her to the emergency clinic and she died in my arms on the drive there. I thought yesterday was bad but walking in today without my Bailey Boo Bear greeting me and sharing my breakfast is so sad. My mornings will never be the same See more

We have a foster. Located in Granby, MO Licensed rescue needed. ... Martha had a very sad story to tell. She was turned into the pound in January. Her owner was located and came to get her. It seems she went straight from the pound to be dumped in a rural area. She was then on her own for more than a month before she was brought to our attention. While in our care she has gained back weight and is now a healthy girl. She is getting kennel stressed and need out.

It's #NationalAdoptaSeniorPetMonth and this cute little old puppy is Peppers! We had no idea he was a senior until the vets checked his teeth. To our surprise, ...he's estimated to be 9 years old! He is the easiest going dog to walk and our volunteers LOVEEE him! He does all of his business outside, then he comes up and asks for butt scratchies and head scratchies! He is on a special diet with special treats and boy, does he love those treats. He doesn't mind walking by other dogs at all, as long as he doesn't have to meet them. That's so annoying when they take all the attention from the people! He came to us sooo skinny and now he's healthy and ready for his forever home! Senior dogs are the BEST! Star was upset that we didn’t capture her true beauty in her last pics. So we had a mini photo shoot in forest park yesterday with an added bonus of enjoying th...e nice weather! So here’s hoping that she gets a little more interest with these pictures so she knows we aren’t the only ones that think she is beautiful . This beautiful girl is Star!! Star is about 3 years old and had a pretty rough start. A good samaritan started feeding her, but she ended up having her babies under a dilapidated shed before rescue could be found. When we got her she was anemic, weak, Heartworm positive, but still managed to be a wonderful mommy! All her babies were fat and healthy and have since been adopted out and now it’s Mamas turn! She has been with me for quite a while. Healing and learning how to live in a house. Her eye unfortunately had too much trauma and had to be removed. Star is about 55lbs is house broken and does well on a leash. She would love a home with a doggy friend to help her have more confidence, but it's not required. She is such a sweet girl and does well with kids, but she is not cat friendly. She is very smart and easily trained. Star is nervous in new situations and can be leery of new people. She doesn’t like when you raise your voice and can get spooked easily, so she needs a fenced in yard or to be kept on a leash at all times. If you think you can have the patience she needs and can provide her with the life she deserves please fill out an application today! www.4paws4rescue.com
