Flat spots on a baby’s head aka plagiocephaly... is one of the more common things I see in my office! Plagiocephaly often occurs because a baby’s neck is tight, causing him or her to put more pressure on one side of the head when laying on his/her back. Think about it- a baby’s skull is so soft and easily moldable. If a baby’s neck is tight, causing her to look to the right all the time, when she’s sleeping, being held, laying on her back to play, etc. there is a lot of pres...sure on the right side of her skull. This is where I come in as a chiropractor and help restore motion in the baby’s neck through muscle work, a very gentle adjustment, and cranial work. The second picture is a little patient I worked with recently. He had this much improvement in just a couple of visits! Here are a few tips that can help reduce that flat spot on a baby’s head! Give the office a call today to help your little one!
