First United Methodist Outreach

KFUMC welcomes back our partner school, Whittier Elementary, with a candy bars for the students and a gift card for every teacher, administrator, and staff member. It's been nearly a year since the kids have been in school. It's been a tough transition for all! (In this photo, Velda McMorris, along with other women, wrapped candy bars and prepared gift cards.)

We have a couple of days to help out Hillcrest ministries. Hillcrest works with homeless in KC Area. Drop off is easy..

Fifteen Frozen Turkeys are needed to offer to families whose children attend our Partner School, Whittier Elementary. The turkeys need to be delivered to the Church on December 16 between 9 - 10 a.m. The Nelsons will take them to the school that morning. The school staff will fill the rest of the bags with items for side dishes. It will be a merrier Christmas for 15 families!!!! Sign up at link below: https://kearneyfumc.org/outreach

Due to Covid, items can be placed in a weather-proofed box outside the front door of the church.

CHRISTMAS OUTREACH. UPDATE ON DELIVERY OF GIFTS. Due to the pandemic, we are asking that gifts for outreach be left in a weather-proof container outside the front door of the church. Each day, gifts will be taken indoors and placed under our lobby tree. Gifts will still make it to their final destinations: Baby Grace, Watkins Mill, PATCH kids, and Whittier.
