Annie Armstrong Week of Prayer - Day 3 Victor & Ludmila Moura (Somerville, Massachusetts)... PRAY - For Victor and Ludmila to successfully reach young Brazilians. For new believers to grow into strong leaders. Victor and Ludmila Moura were comfortable in Brazil. He was a pastor of a growing church, and she was a government lawyer doing well in her career. Over time, though, they felt God leading them in an unexpected directionto plant a church for Brazilians in Boston, home to one of the largest immigrant populations in the U.S. Their goal is for the new church, with services in both Portuguese and English, to be a place where those struggling to find their identity can find it in Christ Read their Story https://www.anniearmstrong.com//victor-ludmila-moura-find/

This Sunday we’ll use a song entitled, Mercy Tree. As you can imagine, it points us to Christ’s vicarious death on the cross. Vicarious is defined as suffere...d by one person as a substitute for another. This means that Christ wasn’t dying on the cross for anything he had done, but he was doing so in place of you & me. I Peter 2:24 says, He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. Do you see it? Jesus died on a tree, PERIOD? NO! That we or So that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. Let’s not cheapen the mercy He’s granted to us by missing the so that we part. .be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Ephesians 4:23-24 See you Palm Sunday! See more

We start the 2nd chapter of Ephesians this week. Bro. Phillip has titled this series, The Dreadful Condition of Man. One could randomly open a hymnal ten time...s and be hard pressed to find one hymn that DOESN’T address our dreadful condition. And that’s actually a GOOD thing. For you see, until we see how dreadful our sin is, it’s hard to see how GREAT a SAVIOR we NEED! So, this week we’ll sing the great hymn, Grace Greater than our Sin. John Newton, the author of Amazing Grace, said near the end of his life, Although my memory's fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior. And ALL BELIEVERS said AMEN! See more
