New Station #3 update - crews are continuing to make steady progress on the new building. Most of the work is now being done on the interior of the building. The roof of the hose tower can be seen being set in place here. (Photos courtesy of John Barton)
The Firefighters, Paramedics and staff members of the Fenton Fire Protection District wish you and your family a safe, healthy and happy Thanksgiving.
Crews have been busy fighting brush fires on this dry, windy Saturday. Here are crews working to contain a brush fire in the old town section of the district.
Dry, windy conditions made for a busy afternoon for fire crews all across the region. 1314 was called to assist with this large brush fire near Potosi, MO.
Strong southerly winds, low humidity, and very dry vegetation will result in dangerous fire weather conditions today. These conditions may allow any fires to qu...ickly grow out of control, so a Red Flag Warning has been issued for the entire area. The strongest winds will be in central MO, northeast MO, and west-central IL, where a Wind Advisory remains in effect. Please do not burn today and secure loose, lightweight outdoor items.
Progress continues on the new Fire Station #3. The roof decking is on and shingles are being applied. As the roof is being finished, interior work can move forward. We’re excited to see the new station take shape. Photo courtesy of a follower.
Come out and donate blood! October 12-16 from 10am-4pm.
On this 19th anniversary, let’s continue to remember those who lost their lives to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Never forget!
