It’s an emotional year y’all! My baby is 3 short months from graduation- and that for us is an end of an era! Today I was particularly sad (I’m an enneagram 7 -so that rarely happens) and I couldn’t put my finger on the sadness. And then I looked at the date: 2/19/21. Meaningless. Except TWENTY YEARS AGO... 20 yes 20, I left my sweet little 4th grade classroom, Cler-Mont Elementary in Independence MO, on maternity leave, very pregnant (I’ll spare you that image) with that big boy on the right. I knew deep down I wouldn’t be back. I loved teaching, but gosh I have so loved being a mom and staying home with these two for the last 20 YEARS. Honestly these boys are truly my best work, but 2O years, ugh! It goes faster than you think. Don’t Blink. #sentimentalfriday
