Family Promise of the Northland

Our NEW assistance program needs your help!

We get it - life is difficult. It's often hard to dispose of the things you need to get rid of. But when you choose to fill a dumpster not belonging to you and then dump the rest on the ground for someone else to haul off, you are taking money and resources from a not-for-profit agency dedicated to helping the poor in your community. Two things to consider before dumping illegally: 1) in the age of security cameras, your image has most likely been captured in the act, and 2) if you would like to have services provided through our agency, imagine how awkward it will be to present yourself to those who know what you did. Please think twice next time!

When volunteers come to welcome guests for shower & laundry service, they'll be outfitted with PPE (masks, face shields & gloves). Between each appointment, the facilities will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. Guests will also be given disposable face masks if they don't have one. Everyone is required to wear a mask in the Day Center. Our supplies are ready, our volunteers are getting scheduled. We're excited to start this new way to serve the community on Thursdays starting April 1st!

We’re very sad to report that our Family Promise Bus has been vandalized. There was extensive damage to the exhaust system and theft of the catalytic converter. A police report has been filed and an insurance claim will be pursued. This is the vehicle that Family Promise of the Northland volunteers would use to transport our guests to jobs, appointments, and to and from our host sites and the Day Center. While this is a significant setback, we are grateful for our community... of support. Volunteers and donors like you are the strength and backbone of getting Family Promise of the Northland up and running again, so we can continue to serve children and families who experience homelessness.
