Easter Sunday Worship at Faith Baptist Church, Festus, MO

On a normal Resurrection Sunday eve, I would be going over the sermon, thinking through details, and preparing to go to bed early in order to be ready for 3 wonderful services. This year like last year will again be different. I am sad but not discouraged because I know the message of the cross and the resurrection is not bound to a messenger. I am praying for Brother Richard Simmons and Pastor Doug as they lead us into remembering and celebrating. Please continue to pray for us. Patty and Rachel have tested positive as well. We have been spared from respiratory issues but are feeling pretty weak. God is good. We will be praying. Blessed Resurrection Day to you all!

Praying right now for our Good Friday worship gathering. Knowing that Jesus will be lifted up! I will miss being there in body but will be there in spirit.

For some Good Friday simply means a long weekend and time with family. Take some time to read the Bible, especially the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Read their Spirit inspired accounts of the events of the cross. God would use the horrible events of this day to do good. Worship, celebrate, and remember, the depth of Christ's suffering was for our Sin. It truly is a Good Friday!

Today is the day that the Lord has made! Just like everyday! How will you honor the Lord today? Prepare to gather with the Lord and His people, in person or online. Give to the Lord the worship due His Name!

As I see TV commercials today and peruse Facebook, I see all the preparations being made for Halloween and Trick or Treat. What if we put the same amount of effort (time and money) into preparing for Sunday worship? Remember priorities reflect values! Sunday worship is a Saturday night decision and you get an "extra" hour tonight!
