A University of Houston study found that participants wearing blue light filter glasses showed a 58% increase in nighttime melatonin levels. By using blue blocking glasses we can improve sleep and still continue to use our devices. Ask if our blue light filter glasses are right for you.

Eyecare Washington remains open for continued patient care. We appreciate your trust as we practice within the full scope of our profession while closely monitoring & incorporating up-to-minute CDC recommendations. As recommended by the CDC, we will be using the following guidelines for patient care: 1. We will delay scheduling non-essential eye visits until May 2020. This includes routine eye exams for patients with no underlying systemic or ocular diseases. ... 2. We will continue to keep and schedule appointments for essential eye visits. This could include trauma, pain, redness or sensitivity to light, vision loss, urgent contact lens related issues, halos around lights, flashes or floaters, double vision, drooping of eyelids and patients with no vision solution (i.e. glasses are broken and no backup pair) 3. In an effort to limit the spread of COVID19, we ask that you refrain from bringing unnecessary persons with you to your appointment. 4. Upon intake, we will take your temperature via ear access. Patients with a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher will be sent home and advised to follow up with their healthcare provider.

You may have concerns about coronavirus (COVID-19) so we want you to know the extra precautions we are taking to keep everyone healthy. The CDC recommends that we now check every patient before we let you enter our office. You MUST have a normal temperature, no cough, nor signs of illness before you are allowed to enter our office. We have increased our frequency of cleaning and disinfecting heavy-use patient areas. ... At Eyecare Washington we are focused not only on good vision and eye health but also on keeping you safe and healthy.
