Carrie and Tom....MARRIED! Covid tried to derail their plans, but they found a way! And their story is one they make movies about! In drama and debate together in high school, dating senior year and then going their separate ways to then reconnect a little later in life in the sweetest way. They describe it as "coming home" to each other! Family that couldn't be present created a surprise video as a gift that showcased the entire family's love of singing in such a special way. I was so honored to get to capture this special day for them. Congratulations Carrie and Tom!

Feeling EXTRA GRATEFUL today! I was blessed with the most perfect mama for me, two of the very best kids, a ton of extra mamas growing up, an awesome bunch of nieces and nephews, great mother and sister in-laws, lots of mom friends and lots of other kids that I hope know how much I love them!! Truly I’m so lucky!! Plus I have been home with my teenagers for weeks...and we still like each other! AND I got to hug my Mama for the first time in months today!! My parents had a plumbing emergency at their house and the whole family pitched in and worked so hard to get it all fixed....strangely made it just the best day! Life is all about how you look at it!! Happy Mother’s Day to Everyone!!

Dear to my heart....this young man, and this band! Once upon a time, I was also a part of the Golden Regiment and I loved every part of having a band family. The kids, teachers, and a huge following of helpful parents put in countless hours of blood, sweat and tears to make magic on the field each fall. Students work hard in the summer to get started and work even harder when the school year starts to juggle practice schedules and school work. So this fall....STAY for the half time performances! THIS. IS. MY. SENIOR. It is one month until graduation and I haven’t been able to bring myself to post any senior pictures all year...I just couldn’t find the words. And I still can’t! What do you say with literally a million emotions swimming in your heart at all times. Missing the sweet little boy that was, enjoying the silly teenager (most of the time) that he is, and seeing glimpses of the wonderful man to be...all while longing for what was, and being excited for what’s to come. - This image is so simple, but for my not-so-comfortable in front of the camera boy, it is everything! It is just so HIM! Hoping he enjoys these last few days of high school. Love him with all my heart!
