Exchange61 Jewelry Designs 26.04.2021

If you grew up in the 80’s and were around any senior citizen ladies, there a good chance that there were some of these sitting around, maybe even tucked away in a safe place. My granny had some and so did the sweet little neighbor lady that I helped with her garden. These genuine cubic zirconia gems belong to a friend’s mom. Her mom had them safely stored for years but they just sat, never seeing the light of day. They’re not worth much in the monetary sense, but the...y’re treasures to her mom, so she asked me if I could create something for her. I happened to have just the right sterling silver bezels and a ring, so I got to work and made these. One will be for my friend’s granddaughter, who is only 5 right now but someday this family treasure will be passed down to her. Sometimes it’s not the value that the world around us sees, but the value that comes from the gift of family that makes a piece beautiful. See more

Hello friends! First off, let me apologize for being quiet on social media. I have done some flash sales in different groups and some custom orders, so I haven’t had anything new to post. I also took a break from cutting glass to create new pieces because of the cold weather. I use water when I’m cutting and grinding the glass, so you can imagine how hard that would be with temps below 40. I’ve got a bunch of gorgeous glass just waiting to be turned into something beauti...ful and a new tool on the way that will enable me to work on some new designs and concepts. Here’s a piece I made last year that is one of those that was hard to let go of. So many of the pieces I make end up being one of a kind and it’s tough to not keep them! Anyway, just wanted to give you an update and let you know that I’m still doing what I love, finding beauty in the broken. See more

Welcome to exchange61! Here’s a little about my business. We all hate to see our vintage beauties end up damaged or broken. Instead of throwing them away, you can mail your broken dish to me and I will create a piece of wearable art! This system has a 3 fold purpose. It reduces waste by keeping it out of the landfill, it gives me raw materials to work with and in exchange, I will send you a finished piece of jewelry! I use quality lead free/nickel free metal components... and hand cut/shape each piece of broken glass. I realize that some of my clients have metal sensitivities so I offer .925 sterling silver options. In the instance of someone wanting sterling components, I give a credit of $20 towards the sterling upgrade. So here’s my Beauty in the Broken swap program in a nutshell. You pay to ship your broken dish to me. In exchange for your broken dish, I will design a piece of jewelry and ship it to you. It can be a pendant, bracelet or ring, that’s up to you. See more

Some custom orders heading out to an "exchange" client tomorrow. The rings are depression glass, one for her and one for her daughter, then the bracelet is a piece of her grandmother's Noritake wedding china. I set them all in sterling and the china charm is on a sterling bracelet that she can easily add other charms to or wear it as is. I love finding beauty in the broken! Do you have a piece of worn or chipped heirloom china or a dish sitting in a cabinet? Instead of it collecting dust, why not allow me to create a beautiful and wearable piece of art that will help you preserve the legacy of the loved one who once owned it! I've got a wide range of setting options for you to choose from and although I'm located just up the hill from Route 66 in the Missouri Ozarks, I ship worldwide! #findingbeautyinthebroken #exchange61dotcom

Okay, if you'd have told me 6 years ago that my family would love cats like we do, I probably would have laughed at you, especially if you said something about my husband being "owned" by Hazel. Fast forward to 2021 and now I'm working on raising funds to cover the spay/neuter of 3 neighborhood cats, to help keep the population under control and to help keep them safer. They eat on our front porch and have a comfy blanket to snuggle into and one is finally letting us pet her. Anyway, the sale of these pendants will go to help their vet bills. The description is on each photo, and just think, this could be an easy Valentine's Day gift that helps save a life! #tnrsaveslives #treatyoself #catlady #rescuedismyfavoritebreed #rescuecats

Okay, so FB decided to post on my personal page instead of the business page, even though I had it listed. I'm going to transfer info over. UGH. Welcome to the exchange61 buy one, get one half off (of equal or lesser value) sale! To claim the piece, comment "Sold" and send a message with your email address. If you want to arrange pick up in Marshfield, please state that in your message. The first person to comment "Sold" claims it, but feel free to comment with "next" ...if you're interested if for some reason the original claim falls through. These are all hand made by me right here in Marshfield, MO and I love giving new life to damaged glass and china. Because these have small parts, they are recommended for ages 14 and up. I am willing to ship worldwide, but please be aware of the struggle that the USPS is facing right now during the pandemic. All jewelry will come ready to give as a gift or to treat yourself (come on, you know you deserve it!). Questions do not hold the item. Shipping in the US is $4.00 and comes with tracking, that would cover up to 4 items, then it would go up slightly. See more

Here’s a peek at what will be in the sale tonight. I’ll also be pulling some stock from my booth to add in. Most are priced at $25 each, but there are some .925 sterling pieces that will be slightly higher. I’m going to post at 7:00 p.m. CST to give everyone a fair chance and keep the sale going until 12/18/20 at 11:59 p.m.
