Excel Temporary Service is recruiting for Sorter/Packers in Joplin, MO. This position is a 12 hour shift. *rotating shifts 7 days per week, 36 hours one week and 48 the next. 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Summary: Performs Finishing functions by supporting the department by assisting with packing products. Follow general safety and compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.... Essential Functions: Responsibilities include reviewing Job specifications, comparing cartons to specifications for accuracy. Pack cartons according to specification and ensure that corrugate is staged, isolates non-conforming product. Monitor quality and line clearance, and assist in general housekeeping. Work directly with the Operator for special instructions. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Qualification / Requirement: The ideal candidate for this job should have a general understanding of manufacturing and its processes. Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, safety shoes, earplugs, cut-resistant gloves, hairnet, and beard net if necessary. Essential Skills: Written/Verbal Communications Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with others. Computer Skills: Must have knowledge of Windows based software.
