Ending the month with another Woman in Waldo that is a staple in our community! Cheryl of Pampered Paws Grooming has been working with the veterinarians here in Waldo since 1988. She has owned her own grooming salon since 1998. You may recognize her store for allof the flowers outside and her love of pet rescue. Important Reminder #Repost @kasimjhardaway v long read but I ask you all to take a few moments of your time to dive in.... our local restaurants need us now, not tomorrow, not next week or next month. when the @theriegerkc announced it would be closing, I felt like I was punched in the gut. this past weekend, @blacksheep39th closed its doors for good. these aren’t random outliers but a foreshadowing of what’s to come. our local restaurants need us now, not tomorrow, not next week or next month. if you’ve ever said I’ll have to check that spot out soon forget soon, there’s only now. while things may seem like they are returning back to normal, local restaurants still (and will continue to) need your support. order take out, delivery or dine-in, but please put your dollars toward our restaurants, bars & local businesses. our local restaurants need us now not tomorrow, not next week or next month. I recently had the privilege of joining @waldothai for a tasting of its new menu an ode to @pliberda’s northern Thai (Lan Na) upbringing. the flavors and textures were new to my palette but utterly delicious. it was the best meal I had in ages. however, if I weren’t invited, I’m not sure when would have been my next visit to Waldo Thai. a place I genuinely love and adore (quite literally in my top 5 favorites restaurants in kc) but I don’t treat it that way. sometimes it’s easy to forget that these restaurants are run by people just like us: with families to feed, bills to pay and employees depending on them. so please act with urgency because our local restaurants need us now, not tomorrow, not next week or next month.
