I went to get groceries today, and things have tightened even more. Masks are required to enter the store, along with a temperature check and wiping your shoes on a treated mat. There was a long line to enter, due to limitations on the number of people allowed inside.
Things are tightening further here in Peru. As of today (with no advance notice), curfew is from 4pm until 5am, and banks, pharmacies and grocery stores are now closing at 1:00pm. The governor in the department (state) we are in wants to bump it up to 3:00pm instead of 4:00pm, since there are so many people who are not in compliance (we comply). This is also affecting our pastors and saints, since most people are not allowed to work and there are no tithes coming in.
We are stuck in Peru. We came down to get our things out of storage and return to Panama, and have flights to return next week. It’s not happening now. All flights are grounded as of midnight tonight, and last night when I tried to change our flights to leave today, there were no more flights available. It’s already starting to get crazy here. This is the line to enter the grocery store. For the next 15 days (AT LEAST!) traffic on the streets are now limited to going to the grocery store, pharmacy, doctor, bank, gas station or to care for a child, an elderly or disabled person. All restaurants, non-emergency stores, etc. are to remain closed until further notice. The National Guard is our to enforce traffic rules, and food riots have already begun.
Update on what has happened since we arrived: On Feb. 16, Bro. Dominguez was invited to teach the Sunday School then preach the second session. The daughter of a trinitarian pastor was present, and had a question regarding Mat. 28:19. After receiving an explanation along with supporting scriptures, God gave her the revelation of the Name. She was baptized this past Sunday! In that same service, God filled at least 12 with the Holy Ghost!... This past Sunday, Bro. Dominguez was invited to minister at a camp in Santiago. The Lord filled around 24 on Sunday, and another dozen or so on Monday morning.
We are finally heading back to the field!!! Thank you to each and every one of you who prayed for me during these surgeries and recovery. May the Lord bless you all!

As we have mentioned in past newsletters, the situation in Peru has been difficult and the spiritual battle intense. We were directed by Global Missions to depart from Peru for our safety. As a result, it is with mixed emotions we are informing you, our dear partners, friends and followers, that our appointment has been changed to Regional Evangelists for Central and South America and the Caribbean. While we are sad to be leaving Peru, we are also looking forward to what God will do in our new mission. We hope to visit Peru and minister there as God permits. We request your prayers for Peru and our new appointment.
We are thanking God for the 42 who received the Holy Ghost and 19 who were baptized this past weekend in the Amazon region!
I would like to encourage everyone to give as much as you can to Compassion Services International. CompassionServices.org Specify the donation is for the Peru Flooding. So far, we have at least 8 churches that are damaged and need new to have their roof repaired. A few saints have had their homes damaged and need bricks and cement. Now, we also have a major situation with both food and drinking water. Please pray, but also, please give!
I went to the second largest grocery store in town, and could not believe how little food was left. The produce section had almost nothing, almost no meat of any kind, the rice and bags of beans were almost gone, the only milk left is the evaporated milk in cans, no bread, no toilet paper, no bottled water, etc. It was absolutely incredible. I don't know what is going to happen here. Personally, I have a very good water filter, so I'm okay there, and I have enough stocked up for a couple of weeks, although I don't have very many fruits or vegetables left. God help us!
Donations to help victims of the Peruvian floods can be sent to: Compassion Services International, 3333-1 Rue Royale, Saint Charles, MO 6330, and designate it for Peru Flood Relief. You can also give directly on their website, CompassionServices.org, then click on Peru flood relief. Thank you, and may God bless you!
PLEASE PRAY: We are under imminent threat of flash flooding. We have been advised water is on its way, and we live two blocks from the (dry) riverbed. In our city, Trujillo, has had flooding since Tuesday. We have read reports of over 750 homes destroyed in our city alone, due to flood waters. In the capital city of Lima, water has been shut off, and the 10 million residents are very concerned.Throughout the country, multiplied millions of people are affected by these floods.
What a busy, but exciting weekend in Lima. On Friday, Bro. Dominguez taught a marriage seminar. Saturday was "suppose" to be teaching for the youth, but instead, ended up being a Holy Ghost blow-out. Sunday morning brought an excellent lesson on leadership. Sunday night was an evangelistic service. In the middle of the preaching, there was a point towards the end of the message where there was a moment when we thought there was going to be a message and interpretation. Instead, a policeman who had been seeking the Holy Ghost for two years stood up and began speaking in tongues. He received it in the middle of the preaching!! That built faith, and 7 others received their promise as well. That brings the total to 259 who we have witnessed receiving the Holy Ghost since we arrived on Mar. 30. God is good!!
Opening day of the Bible Institute in Trujillo, Peru. La gran apertura de Instituto Biblico Ministerial Pentecostal.
Thankful for the 30 people who received the gift of the Holy Ghost this past weekend, including one lady who had been seeking for 30 years! Agradecido para las 30 personas que recibieron el don del Santo Espíritu este pasado fin de semana, incluyendo a una señora que había estado buscando por 30 años!
