One hundred years ago marks the the beginning of organized Negro League Baseball. On February 13, 1920, the league was formed by eight independent team owners... along with Rube Foster in a meeting at the Paseo YMCA in Kansas City, Missouri, located in The Historic 18th and Vine District. This work framed by yours truly, Ronald Chaney at EthnicArt Gallery is in commemoration of that monumental event. It was an honor to do and can be found at the gallery. See more

Excellent photograph Harold, but I would be remiss if If I didn't mention that the framing of that particular Negro Leagues print was framed by yours truly at EthnicArt Gallery in The Historic 18th and Vine District. It was fun to do especially since my art space was at one time the hangout for Negro League players, Jazz musicians and many business men of that period. For the Mayor to appreciate it enough to be photographed sincerely and seriously with it being so prominently displayed, I am truly honored. Thank you for your photograph and I also thank KC Studio for allowing you to take it.
