Hi! We’re Enactus CUHK! Competition for Good One of the highlights of the year is Competition for Good. Have you ever pictured yourself doing your own social projects and promoting positivity in society? Do you want to meet other people who share the same enthusiasm with you? In this social business incubation program, we provide participants with one-on-one consultation, business advisors, training workshops and all the assistance you need, in order to help you carry out a g...reat social business project. There will be an internal competition in February 2020 and the top two teams will receive fundings and represent CUHK to compete in the Enactus Regional Competition, and might have a chance to compete in Enactus National Competition and Enactus World Cup. The programme will be divided into two streams, Budding Project Stream and Seed Project Stream. For Budding Project Stream, applicants are required to form a team and have a concrete social business idea that is solving a specific social problem. You come up with your social startup idea and we offer the necessary support for you to make your idea a reality. On the other hand, Seed Project Stream is designed for individuals that are interested in social entrepreneurship and wish to start a social business project, yet, do not have concrete ideas or have not yet found suitable teammates. The applicant should briefly talk about his/her thoughts on social entrepreneurship and why he/she is applying for Competition for Good. ***Please be noted that Competition for Good is a 7-month incubation programme and participants are committed to execute and expand their projects during this period, and hopefully, carry on in the future too.

Organized as part of the Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting of IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students Associations) HIC is a hackathon competition cum 3-day bootcamp on tackling global health challenges, with the theme being Advancing Health Equity in the Digital Age this year. St...udents of different nationalities and academic backgrounds will be paired to learn from global leaders in medicine and entrepreneurship: design thinking, business planning, market analysis, pitching and prototyping; culminating in completing their own healthcare initiative and competing at a final pitch witnessed by 300+ international medical students. Winners of the competition take home up to HKD $11,000 in prize money and possibly mentorships from international MedTech incubators. Losing our visions can be terrifying. Being unable to witness the beauty of the world nor see the faces of our beloved ones, we simply cannot picture how we could depend on ourselves if we ever turned blind. The workshop Dialogue in the Dark has gained popularity because it is hailed as one of the most life-changing events which provides participants with experiences of being visually-challenged. Guided by the mentors, the participants can experience the daily-life of a blind... person, including having a walk in the park, taking a cruise boat and having meals in an absolute darkness. A sighted person may find these daily-routines easy, but what if the sighted one lost his/her visions?
