We are both saddened and honored to introduce the first honoree in our LOVE & LEGACY program. At EMBOLDEN BOUTIQUE, Sunday, March 28, 2021, is Mark Amtower Day! Please help us recognize and remember the life of Mark Allen Amtower. Mark was an extremely kind and generous young man who always gave of himself to others -- sometimes even giving away his last few dollars to help someone in need. Friends were family to him, and family was everything!... Mark graduated from Clever High School in 2013. He was a volunteer for Clever Fire Department as well as a volunteer for Clever Police Department. He always wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps in the Emergency Management Field. He started with being a victim for CERT classes his dad taught when he was nine years old. He went on to volunteer thousands of hours for CERT, Fire Corps and the Emergency Management Office. When Mark wasn't volunteering, he worked at the Sheriff’s Office as a MULES Operator and was later employed at Clever Stone. Tragically, Mark passed in his home in Clever on March 26, 2020. Mark loved to serve his community and was always helping others. To celebrate Mark's life and honor his generous spirit, the Mark Amtower Scholarship for First Responders was founded. His scholarship helps future First Responders with educational expenses and encourages them to pursue their dreams. We have known Mark and his family for 20 years, and we feel the greatness of their loss. Mark's absence is apparent throughout the community. He is greatly missed, but his legacy lives on. EMBOLDEN BOUTIQUE is proud to donate 25% of all sales on Mark Amtower Day (12-4pm) to the Mark Amtower Scholarship for First Responders. Our neighbors Twisted Grip BBQ/Twisted Grip BBQ Smoke Shop have graciously offered to donate a portion of their proceeds tomorrow as well. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - PART 2 We are excited to announce that our neighbors Mike & Tara McCoy with Twisted Grip BBQ/Twisted Grip BBQ Smoke Shop will be teaming up with us for our new LOVE & LEGACY program!! Sadly, Mike & Tara relate to our story all too well. Unfortunately, they also suffered child loss. They lost their son, Jesse, in a fiery crash on December 5, 2014.... Jesse was a fun and creative guy who loved theatre, music and dance, and he cherished his friends and family. He was one of a kind! The next time you visit Twisted Grip, I'm sure Mike would love to tell you more! SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT - PART 1 We are absolutely honored and thrilled to share something brand new with you! Allow me to introduce our LOVE & LEGACY program. ... As most of you know, we lost our sweet Brett in January 2018 in a tragic crash into an icy river, and he was not recovered until the following day. Each day since has been a torturous journey, but your support helps us carry on, by allowing us to share Brett's love and legacy. Brett was the smartest, funniest, kindest, sweetest, most wonderful guy who touched the lives of many in his 19 years. He offered a truly unconditional love and welcomed everyone into his heart. His heart was tender and pure, and he wore it on his sleeve. He gave of himself tirelessly and unselfishly, never asking anything in return. He truly left a legacy of love and kindness -- one of which we could not be more proud. "When you make loving others the story of your life, there's never a final chapter, because the legacy continues." - O.W. We have been blessed with this amazing platform which allows us to share our son's story and keep is memory alive. It's truly a blessing that we do not take for granted. It's an opportunity many bereaved families do not receive, and we want to help change that. Sadly, many of our friends and neighbors have also lost their precious children. In the spirit of Brett's loving and generous heart, our new LOVE & LEGACY program will allow others to use our platform to share THEIR child's legacy. PROGRAM DETAILS: 1. The last Sunday of each month will be dedicated to a special family that has suffered child loss. Their child will be honored and remembered that day, and we will speak their name(s). 2. At least 25% of sales from each LOVE & LEGACY day will be donated to the honored family's charity/scholarship of choice. 3. The program will begin THIS SUNDAY! You can help by simply sharing this post and helping us spread the word and by supporting our LOVE & LEGACY families when they share about their loved ones.
