Ember Concessions

Alert! Long post! Please read to the end. To the good people of Mountain View, This year has been an emotional whirlwind of immeasurable highs and unfair lows. It was my dream to open this shop and my dad and I spent countless hours late into the night building a place where families could spend time and make memories. I didn’t know it then but while working on the shop, I was making my own. It would be the last project my dad and I would work on together. Many of you know... that I lost my dad unexpectedly in October and it’s been hard.. no, it’s been miserable. I love this shop but now I see my dad everywhere I look and although the memories are wonderful, they bring my mom and I great sadness. Since my dad passed away, I’ve had to take on more responsibilities and more obligations. I’m now operating our family farm and doing all he did in addition to what I do. At some point, you realize your time and ability to be two places at once is limited. So, it is with a broken heart that I’m announcing Ember Ice Cream will close on December 14. It’s not a decision I came to easily or without lots and lots of prayer. It’s also not something I planned for and not something I ever imagined I would do but when I lost my dad.. my life forever changed and I have to take care of my family and myself first. Although the physical shop will close, we still will do festivals serving lemon shake ups and serve ice cream at events! We also plan to take it on the road and set up in other towns when it warms up in the spring! We look forward to seeing you and serving different communities in a new way. Thank you for your business this past year. It’s been an amazing ride and an incredible run. Through December 14th, we will be open 1 PM to 7 PM Tuesday through Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday. Happy Halloween!! We made ANOTHER batch of chicken and dumplings soup today because we sold out yesterday! It’s a cold day and you need soup! We also have candy for trick or treaters!

We opened back up this last week following my dad’s passing. Thank you for understanding. We have started our soup! Today is chicken and dumplings! Come try some!
