Forgot to add this to my page... oops! I made a pink sugar scrub using Egyptian Geranium essential oil instead of using Lavender this time. I added another half cup of oil to mine. I love it, my skin feels so soft!

By this spring, we hope to hatch at least 100 coturnix quail and upgrade our enclosures. Setting a goal of earning at least $200 this year sounds pretty reasonable. We'll put the Saffire Gems together Saturday to ensure we have pullets by March. Later this summer we should have coturnix quail, Saffire Gems, and the Rhode Island Red chicken. Just let me know if and what your interested in. Here is the list of everthing I can produce: Rhode Island Red... Saffire Gems Black Jersey Giants Easter Eggers Silver Sebright Bantam Coturnix Quail Coral Blue Guineas Lavender Guineas I can send pictures if needed.

Warning Graphic! Update on the Sebright hen... She's been vocal, moving around more and her wound look like it's starting to bruise. However, another girl got scalped. Her wound seems to be a little bit more serious.. poor baby has a flap of skin on top of her head and you can see what might be a ustationtube or jawbone..? I'm not sure, it moves when she opens her beak. I'll be sure to keep it well cleaned and treated just like the other, we'll see what happens. I've also ...decided to go ahead and find another cage for the new guys I put in. Would've been nice if they could just all get along! _ _ Poor girl got scalped... I hate how mean other birds can be. I separated her from the Sebright flock, cleaned the wound and put TAO on it. Luckily she's still eating and drinking just fine. Is there anything else I can do for her to sooth the pain?
