With everything that's going on, we know it's hard to plan for the future, but that's exactly what we're doing. Egg at Midtown is in the early stages of planning a pop-up party later this month or early July based of course on conditions on the ground. This will be the test for "Breakfast (and Breakbeat) at Night" or "Devil's Egg" including a new night drink and food menu. We welcome all suggestions for how to do this responsibly and what food items, drink specials or DJs sho...uld be on the menu. Many of you have asked how you can help us following our post about stolen plants, planters and furniture from our patio this week. The outpouring of support and sympathy has been amazing. Fox 2 News even did a story on us: https://fox2now.com//plants-meant-to-welcome-back-diners-/ We thought about doing a Go Fund Me but honestly it's just not our style. Instead, as we rehire our workers, prepare for the patio season, and look forward to the future, the best thing you can... do is to continue to provide us with your patronage. Please think of us and our Benton Park location when making your brunch plans. We can't wait to see all of you again very soon and welcome any newcomers. This is why we can't have nice things. Unfortunately yesterday, an opportunistic thief took it upon themselves to steal the brand new patio plants we just purchased and planted for our new patio space. We had an orange plant, a beautiful red Mandeville, a purple Duranta and a banana tree. All gone. It sucks that people can't be trusted to be better and not to steal from a business that is already strapped for cash and just trying to give back to our customers by investing in something beautiful.

Running restaurants is an inherently risky business especially during times of crisis and economic uncertainty. There are no easy answers to things like the current pandemic and all the disruption it ...brings. At best, we redouble our efforts to provide a safe, clean and disinfected environment and of course maintain the quality of the service, food, and beverage, you’ve come to expect from us while continuing to operate without a loss. At worst, restaurants like ours must make hard choices including cutting shifts, adjusting opening and closing hours, or even suspending services. So far, things have not come to that. Anticipating even more disruption, we’re planning new modes of service including curbside delivery and possibly a limited zone of self-run car delivery service to your home or workplace.
