Some of the things I see just make me wish I could have been a fly on the wall during the installation. Whoever did this originally obviously made the same mistake twice. RANT ALERT!! Walking up to a job for choice home warranty that apparently had sent a locksmith already to re key this very simple job. This is what we see. HOME WARRANTY COMPANIES PLEASE VERIFY YOUR CONTRACTORS BEFORE SENDING THEM OUT. ... Apparently the contractor which I won't name gave a BS story on why the lock couldn't be re keyed and couldn't fit correctly ( which makes no sense given that it was in working condition before filing there claim.) 12 hours latter the job wasn't done and everything a mess. They called the company rep for the area who said he knew the contractor personally and vouched for the contractor and even had the supposed contractor come back out 9 hours latter there are more cylinders on the floor and every thing is the same except for the front door which il post pictures of which had a beautiful dead bolt handle one piece (very common on complexes and condos) which apparently that couldn't be re keyed either (why I don't know when it's literally week one training) and replaced it with two knew locks separate from each other which shouldn't be that close together in that scenario and apparently could barely get that to work and made a un repairable cratter in the frame. The worst part is looking at the customer after they've already paid you for the job and telling them here's all the parts (which there weren't even all the parts there screws were missing as well as cylinder pieces) you can put them all back together as if the customer now becomes a locksmith. The morale is. If your not a real locksmith stop pretending to be. Once you mess a door up on the inside we can't put back the plastic or wood that you tore up. The door in all honesty needs to be replaced and they will be lucky to see anything come from the company or the contractor that is if they even have insurance. And if your a warranty company for God sake Verify your contractors are licensed and meet at least bare minimum requirements No charge for these guys today. They have been through enough. Praying we get some justice for them. More pics details to follow I'm so glad I wear a body can to work.
