This is a heartwarming story written by Tony Flint for the Engineers & Engines magazine earlier this year. Tony shares his memories from our show ... including gas engines, family, and tradition ... which we all love about this hobby of ours. *Story shared with permission.

Draft horse plowing and wagon rides both days. Huge flea market featuring antiques, tools, crafts, home decor, baked goods, farm produce, furniture, saddles and... tack, seasonal decorations, engine and equipment parts, custom clothing and jewelry. Open invitation to all chuck wagons, black smiths, harness makers, gas engine collectors, campfire musicians, and homesteading demonstrations! This is an interactive historical reenactment event; helpers and questions are welcomed! The event focuses on historical agriculture, homesteading, and pioneer activities. Demonstrations and re-enactments are needed to make this a great event for our spectators. Think big or think simple but please join in and participate this year because the interest in this year’s Festival is huge after the success of the August show. If you are associated with a club or group of musicians, theater, performers, artists, quilters, gardeners, historians, or crafters, please extend our invitation to exhibit and demonstrate their skills with us. We would love to involve area Church youth, FFA, 4H, scouts, and homeschool groups, but we need your help getting this message to them! Our regular activities include making apple butter, lard rendering, pressing apples for cider, broom making, shelling corn, grinding grain, and cooking by steam engine. We have 50 open air acres to spread out on and accommodate these activities, all we need is your participation and input to make this a great event for our community and visitors! Comment below or call the contacts listed on the flyer. Thanks for your support! Free camping available from Wed. to Tuesday if desired. See more
