EcoTECH Import Auto Service Dyno Pro Technologies Inertia Garage Austin's EJ207 swapped bugeye went on the dyno for a flex fuel tune, putting down a healthy 370... WHP/368 WTQ on E60 with conservative settings. EJ207 w/ AVCS ID1050x Cobb intake Innovate MTX-D flex fuel kit AND... ***EcoTECH's brand new prototype turbo (which we have dubbed the Type-25 for now )*** This was the turbo's maiden run, but so far, it has been pretty impressive and is really living up to its role of being an OEM replacement option that provides a very nice bump in both power and torque without sacrificing spool! Due to the stock 5MT transmission, I only gave the car 21.5 psi up top and used pretty safe timing. Even so, the car made very strong numbers and the best part is, the spool characteristics is like stock! The turbo hits full boost by 3900ish RPM, which puts it on par with OEM VF turbos on similar setups. Keep in mind that on the street, spool should be even quicker and that all of this was done on a 2.0L engine, meaning it should spool even faster and would be capable of even more torque on a 2.5! I'm really forward to pushing the turbo a little more to see what it's actually capable of when maxed out, but I wouldn't be surprised if it puts down low-400s and all without sacrificing spool!
